Disco on the prom…

If summer had a soundtrack, it would be blasting out of Cromer’s Disco on the Prom. Every Friday and Sunday, the seafront comes alive with banging tunes, disco lights and pure good vibes. The DJ knows exactly how to get you moving, think top tracks, hands in the air, and everyone dancing like nobody’s watching. With the theatre bar on hand to keep the drinks flowing, you can sip a cold one while throwing shapes as the sun melts into the cliffs. Honestly, it’s electric.

Best part? It’s totally free (yep, just pay for your drinks). Cromer’s only 5 miles from Sheringham, jump on the bus, hop the train, or take the beach walk and build your night from the ground up. Grab fish and chips, try one of the town’s brilliant food spots, or pack a picnic before the dancing kicks off. This is seaside nightlife at its finest, salty air, sunset skies and tunes that don’t stop.

If you need a pit-stop before the Disco on the Prom kicks off, or somewhere to wind down after you've danced the night away? Cromer’s got just the spots.

  • The Kings Head (High Street) is a must. Just a short walk from the pier and clifftop views, it’s a comfy, Grade II listed pub with a large beer garden and always a good mix of ales, wine and classic drinks.

  • The Red Lion (Brook Street) overlooks the pier and beach and blends stylish interiors with a warm, relaxed bar. They’ve got a fine wine selection and plenty of local ales, ideal if you want something a bit special.

  • The Wellington (Garden Street) is that kind of place where you can just drop in, grab a cold pint, maybe catch some live music or sport, and feel totally part of the town. Friendly crowd, dog-friendly, easy going.

  • The Albion (Church Street) is great if you fancy a lively pub that doesn’t take itself too seriously, live sport, local chatter, good drinks and welcoming vibes.

So before or after dancing ‒ whether you fancy something chilled or somewhere buzzing, these pubs deliver. A pint or a glass of wine in hand, watching the sun dip, these places make the whole night feel extra seaside magic.
